Fippin amazing, and by just 7 individuals!!! The defining moment for action/adventure RPGs on multi-touch. Bioshock-lite meets Devil May Cry with only a tad less flair and nearly the polish, for a few well-deserved bucks, easily worth twice its price. Sports some pretty phenomenal character animation. The battle control scheme takes getting used to, but I hope it becomes the standard touch combat system because its so simple and seamless that if youre paying attention to what youre doing it blends precision and versatility. Its a crime so many of this apps negative reviews are for control when it solves all the touchscreen issues for combat so brilliantly if you just give it the chance to sink in! Buy this so we can see the other 2 episodes (devs say theres multitouch special moves in store...)! Sound design, music, voiceacting and script are all OK, environments sparse though well-textured, but the animation, story, and combat easily carry it. Flawless framerate on 5th-gen Touch. This positively deserves to be bought in droves. Please, reward this landmark iOS-specific effort—it shant disappoint!

I give 5 stars because its still better than most "5 star" paid-for-reviews apps on the app store (read: 3/4 of the app store). Fun controls, ambitious story. A bit too ambitious perhaps - frame rate chugs nearly everywhere on iphone 5, and some of the voice acting is pretty bad, though the dialogue itself is pretty good. The main characters voice acting is probably the worst of all, sounds like a dev decided he wanted to be an actor. Other voice actors, such as the computer, are at a professional level, so its a bit puzzling that the voice youll hear most is the most poorly acted in the game. Once you figure out the combat its really fun. And its possible the 5s can keep up with the engine, but I havent seen. Anyway, with the lack of quality rpgs on the app store, this is a no-brainer. If you have problems with the combat, jump in the arena for a minute and it will click in no time.

Despite the episode 1 name, it is a self contained game with a good amount of gameplay. Interesting combat, and the story brings you along.

Dont pass this up!! Cant wait till Episode 2!!

I give this game 5 stars because of its graphics and gameplay. This could be a console game for sure. Make sure you have an A6 device for the best results. Crashes a ton on my iPhone 5S. Edit: Game crashes in opening, must restart 5S everytime i want to play, but well worth it!

Every thing is wonderful about this game, some bugs but not major. The city would be nice if it had some things going on but now its pretty empty. Maybe in part 2 we can have some things to do. Ive sadly lost interest in the game though because with new mobile games coming out every week.

I only write reviews for extremely good or horrible games and this is a must own game. Strategic, fast-paced combat and an awesome story line makes one epic game! YOU MUST BUY IT!!! Also, cant wait for episode two!!

Spiral is an interesting game. The story draws you in, the controls are super easy, and its genuinely fun to play. Id say the only noticeable drawback would be the amateurish voice acting which doesnt detract much because the content of the story more than makes up for it.

Plzzzz try to add new levels instead of making a spiral episode 2.

This game is very good--I would enjoy it more if I had the option of seeing the action instead of having it obscured by my finger--with this change I see this title being one of the best of the year!

On the regular iphone 4 but its just a tad laggy. Im pretty sure you could improve it a little bit? Ill give you five stars if that happens. Other wise I want my money back.

I was hooked at the loading screen, and that opening dream was beautiful. In my opinion, this is the best hack and slash for any touch device. The story is pretty cinematic, though it suffers from adequate voice acting. Though thats not a reason to not get this game. Its also good that you implemented the arena mode for replayability. The controls are unique, but I do recommend an option for thumbs tick controls with buttons. One more thing. Im not to fond of the music that plays during combat. Partially because it sounds like dubstep, partially because it ruins the intense mood.

The controls and combat take a little but of getting used to. But once you do youll be loving the combat. Arena mode alone warrants a purchase of this game because it lets you fight against an infinite number of bad guys, and enjoy the intuitive combat system to its fullest. Great game, I cant wait for episode 2.

When is EPISODE 2 gonna be released?!!!! Please release it soon!!! I freaking love this game! And the controls are smooth, why the heck is everybody complaining about controls?!!!

This game is a really good game I got a little late but that doesnt matter I think is better for me anyway but great game hope to make a part 2 please Im begging make a part 2

The game is fun, sure, but it keeps crashing and deleting all of my save data and accumulated exp. This has already happened 2 times. Will give a higher rating upon fix.

Amazing game. Immersive experience. Balance of rpg, stealth, and action. Just some suggestions. I thought the sound effects could be a little better, especially during combat. The hit could use a more deeper noise. Also, the train sounds could have been helpful. Finally, the combat could have been harder.

This is a really great game. The story is very interesting and the graphics are extremely next gen. The controls are sometimes frustrating at first, but once you get used to it, its really a fun experience.

I may have finished it really fast but it worked so good with my Moga Game Controller for my iPhone! It was amazing and I cant wait for the second episode!
